Join us at Commerce Gallery on Wednesday, February 19th for another installment of lockhART talks, an ongoing public series featuring engaging conversations about art, artists and the creative process. Each month, enjoy candid dialogue with a curated Central Texas visual artist and gain insight into their methods, tools and inspiration.
Our next art talk features artist Felice House. You can find Felice House's work in museums and galleries across the country, as well as internationally. Her portraiture is on display in collections including the Booth Museum of Western Art, Prentice Women's Hospital, and New Mexico State University.
House is an Assistant Professor in the Visualization Department at Texas A&M University and maintains a studio at Canopy in Austin, Texas. She holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, an MS from Texas A&M University in computer graphics, and an MFA in painting from the University of Texas. She studied classical painting and portraiture at the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore, MD.
